Licensed Veterinary Technician — Dentistry & Oral Surgery

Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) is a growing multi-specialty and emergency veterinary practice in the beautiful Portland, Maine area. We’re seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Dentistry & Oral Surgery team and work alongside a board-certified veterinary dentist.

The Role

• Assist with advanced dental and oral examinations, diagnostics, and procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment and maintain safety and sterility
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during dental and surgical procedures
• Assist with periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery procedures
• Educate clients on oral health, post-procedure care, and prevention

What We’re Looking For

• Current LVT credential in good standing
• Veterinary dentistry experience preferred
• Strong anesthesia, patient handling, and dental imaging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Positive, compassionate approach to patient care
• EzyVet/SmartFlow experience a plus

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM (may vary)
• Some holidays required
• $25–$38/hour, based on experience and licensure
• Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus commensurate with experience and credentials
